Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Roofs are the gold standard of energy efficient roof systems. Spray Foam roofs absorb less solar energy and keep your buildings cooler and better insulated than most other roofing options.

SPF roofs are a combination of high-density closed cell polyurethane spray foam coated with high-reflectance roof coating. The spray foam layer underneath the coating offers an insulative value of R 7 per inch and the coating reflects solar energy. This combination reduce the urban heat island effect and provides excellent insulation for the building.

Spray foam uses no traditional mechanical fasteners, thereby preventing thermal bridging, and improving the energy efficiency of the building.

Spray foam can cut energy costs, extend the lifetime of rooftop equipment, and protect buildings from structural damage due to excessive thermal expansion and contraction.

HIGH R VALUE

Spray foam has an aged R value of 6.7 per inch.

Spray foam can be applied directly on top of a properly prepared roof to add insulative value without tearing off and replacing the existing roof. Spray foam's initial R Value is 7 which reduces slightly before stabilizing at 6.7. Just one inch of spray foam can add an additional R Value of 6.7 to the entire roof.

OPTIMIZE ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Optimize rooftop equipment performance with added insulation.

Spray foam roof systems offer the most effective duo of insulation and high reflectance roofing to cut energy costs. Spray foam insulates the building to improve the comfort of the building while the roof coatings applied to the top of the spray foam reflect solar energy and keep the surface temperature of the roof down.

STRENGTHEN BUILDINGS

Withstand snow loads with added tensile strength.

Spray foam is relatively lightweight and creates a monolithic, seamless roof that improves the tensile strength of existing roof. With a tensile strength of 77, and a compressive strength of 58, spray foam roofs can handle the snow loads of the Pacific Northwest and may enhance the performance of existing and structurally sound roofs.

LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

Prevent or address thermal bridging issues with spray foam.

Spray foam has very low thermal conductivity and can be applied to a roof to address thermal bridging issues. Thermal bridging often occurs through joists and fasteners. Spray foam insulates the joists from the outside, and uses no fasteners to do so, thereby preventing thermal bridging issues.

NEW & EXISTING ROOFS

Select spray foam for new or existing roof decks.

Spray foam is an ideal roofing option for new and existing structures. In many cases, spray foam can be applied to the existing roof deck, and can extend the lifetime of the existing roof.

SELF-FLASHING

Mitigate the need for flashing and the fasteners that come with it.

Spray foam can be sprayed across the roof surface, up and around rooftop equipment, and up parapet walls. This mitigates the need for flashing and fasteners, reducing the chances of leaks from fastener or flashing failure.

BUILT UP ROOFING (BUR) ADAPTABILITY

Address ponding issues with BUR adaptability.

Spray foam is highly adaptable, and since it's manufactured on site, it can be built up in low areas to address ponding issues.

LONG LASTING

Foam roofs can last up to 40 years when properly maintained.

Properly maintained and cared for foam roofs can last upwards of 40 years. Proper maintenance entails annual maintenance and regular inspections.
